Our Mission

One Voice is dedicated to changing the face of adoption in the United States. We believe that the adoption industry in America has caused countless suffering in the families that have been unnecessarily torn apart by adoption. While One Voice recognizes that there are instances when children and babies may need protection from their families and removal from the household is appropriate, we believe it is not appropriate for that child to lose their genetic information. We recognize that many separations occur without the presence of abuse or neglect as well.

Adoption today is still cloaked in secrecy and sometimes in lies. One Voice believes all secrecy and lies must end. The Voices of those touched by adoption must be heard as a united voice opposing the secrey, lies, unnecessary separations, and other effects of adoption as the system stands today.

One Voice has one main objective which is to work with individuals and groups who share our goal of changing the face of adoption in the United States by mending disagreements from past years with tireless work to focus groups and individuals on common goals. Through our work we will foster communication and attempt to mend disagreements from the past by offering a space where different groups can find a common ground for making change. By uniting individuals and organizations on common ground we can create a singular, powerful voice to create the changes needed in the way adoption works in the United States.
