Food WIC -WIC stands for Women, Infants, and Children. The progran provides nutritional supplements, nutrition information, and healthcare referrals to low income pregnant women, infants, and children up to age five. To apply for WIC, you will need to call the agency in your state that handles WIC. When you call, they will help you find the location nearest to you, and then you will set up an appointment. To find the location nearest to you, click here. Food Stamps-A program that allows low income families to buy nutritious food using Electronic Benefits Transfer (EBT) cards. If approved, you can use your food stamp benefits to purchase approved foods in approved grocery stores. Commodity Supplemental Food Program - A federal program to help people by supplementing their diets with nutritious USDA commodity foods. not all 50 states participate in the program. Those already supported by WIC do not qualify for this program. FREE items ( baby, household, etc) Free Cycle - Is a free program with groups all over the U.S., as well as 50 counties worldwide. Items are given away and recieved by people in their own local communities for free. This program works much like a free garage sale.
